"I loved the swim out pool in the family club rooms. I like that the resort provides beach toys. I also love the frequent shuttle service and how convenient things are overall. I am sad that the beach was not able to be used and that the resort has nothing on the website to give updates about Sargassum. I also didn't like that the sail boats are only free if you sail them yourself. "

"I stood in the Tropical 18 years ago. I stood at the Palace this time with my sister and neice. The resort his huge and requires at lot of walking from room 8769 to buffet. The double decker buses were nice to help get around. The food was not good, not even the specialty restaurants, except Rodizio and Tokyo was good. The breakfast buffet at the Coloniel was better than at the Palace and the hotel itself was prettier than the palace. The pools are huge and there was always enough chairs to find. Had a wonderful sweedish massage by Reyna, she was wonderful. Overall, we were very pleased with the Barcelo Maya Resort."

"The property is spectacular, great options to eat and drink all the time. The resort is huge and internal transportation is constantly passing to pickup guests from the lobby to the beach stopping where you need. The seaweed is present in great quantity (not property's fault) and they try to keep the beach clean, but is a titanic task, nevertheless there are pools everywhere to enjoy the sun. 10 days and family was never bored!"
