"Charming and cozy. Great views. Easy access to hikes from Kennedy Peak to trails at the bottom of the hill. Never once turned on the TV, brought and played old school CDs while cooking and eating on the deck every night. We saw deer and baby turkeys and ravens and bear scat. Heard whip-poor--wills every morning and night. Luray is nearby and had a great outdoor venue with bands music and beer. Also really liked the hiking store and the coffee shop. "

"The hot tub was wonderful! The bed in the main bedroom has the most comfortable matress imaginable! The three cabins are located pretty close together, so be prepared to be friendly with your neighbors or atleast hear them and their music when you are outside. The shower could use a revamp, and be prepared to live out of your luggage because there is no storage space. The outdoor area is beautiful, but there isnt anywhere to access the river unless you want to slide through lots of mud on the way. It was lovely sitting by the river and enjoying the wildlife though- we saw tons of birds and two deer during our stay. The fireflies in the evenings are spectacular. The TV cut off continuously, but it may have been user error and we weren't really there to watch much television anyway. This was my first VRBO without trash service, and having to drive our trash 8 minutes down the road was a hastle. Perhaps this is common in the area though. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this rustic little cabin. The location is wonderful, and we enjoyed the cornhole set and plentiful outdoor space. "

"We visited luray caverns and stayed here after. It was nearby and very relaxing. Would stay here again! "

"We had a great time and PLENTY of space for our 3 families of all ages. It was off the beaten path but within 10 min to everything you could want. Home is so spacious and the owner was amazing to work with! She even left breakfast goodies. There are little bars but remember, you’re on the river so it’s expected and they communicated that. The water has a terrible smell at first because again, your on the water but once you run it a bit l, it cleared right up. We would absolutely reccomend this home!"

"My husband and I were looking for a lowkey spring break getaway with our boys ages 4 & 7. Riverfront Cabins was the perfect spot. The owners sent a welcome email once we booked which included details about our stay and a house manual that answered any lingering questions. We stayed in the Bass Reeves cabin which was cozy and perfect for our family of 4. The one bedroom is large so we put an air mattress in the room for our boys who like to stay close when in new places but a pullout sofa was available. Kitchen had everything we needed. River was right on property but with a large green space for littles to run without fear of them getting too close to the water. We didn’t get a chance to use the water equipment available to guests but it was fully stocked. We did fish and my 7 year old caught his first fish! We look forward to visiting again. If you are looking for a getaway from tv/electronics (wifi and tv available but spotty at times) and a chance to slowdown to enjoy the beauty of nature this would be a the place to go."
