"We were initially put in a room that was dusty and had a (small) mouse. But after a sleepless night we were moved to the Pinnacles building which was amazing! Staff was very responsive to our needs and did everything they could once we alerted them to the problem. One thing to note is the we were there during a heat wave and not all rooms are air conditioned- we had no idea. So if that is important to you, you may want to reach out and inquire about this prior to booking. Food at the restaurant and drinks at the tap house were great."

"Good solid hotel room for those planning a kayak weekend trip with Shenandoah River Outfitters. Showers had good pressure, which helps after a long day on the river. Internet was solid. For us, the AC wasn't working, but we decided to endure it as we didn't want to repack everything after we had set up already in the room. Beds were comfortable, too. Solid place to put your head down."

"Room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom. The ceiling fan worked well and even in summer heat it was very cool for sleeping. Just behind the lodge is a short hike to a gorgeous overlook. The food at the restaurant on site was delicious and all staff were friendly and competent. I'll return for sure!"

"Location to Skyline Drive entrance excellent. Friendly staff. Surprisingly roomy. Excellent shower. Plenty of towels. Updated but kept charm. Parked right in front of room door. Great price. Seats out front of room and nice field out back. Rainbow and lovely sunset were a bonus. "

"Beautiful property, big yard, really nice space. Quick drive to the Thornton Gap park entrance. This was a great place to rest and relax after exploring the park all day. Nice kitchen, with everything you need. We had no cell reception and there is no WiFi (fine with us), so we relied on board games & cable TV for entertainment, which was plenty. "
