"We absolutely loved this place. Vayu Retreat is a very charming and quiet mini hotel with only 4 beautiful rooms, a great infinity pool, spacious terrasses to relax and a nice restaurant. "We stayed at Corozon del Rio for 7 nights with 3 of our adult children. The rooms were really nice and the open air kitchen/dining/living area was amazing. There were a lot of staples (oil, some spices etc) in the pantry which helped because we made most of our own meals while we were there. Everything we needed was there for cooking. The only down side was that were we unable to connect with the property manager after our arrival when he showed us around the building. We were hoping to have him...

"As good as advertised or better. Did have to run to the store for some basic is like salt pepper oil paper towels. Chef was amazing. Everything was perfect."

"We stayed for a week at the ecolodge and had a fantastic time. It's thoughtfully designed and has great green credentials. The beds and other furnishings are very comfortable The views are stunning and there are plenty of beaches and activities a short car ride away. I would also recommend the mangrove trip with Gersan which can be arranged from the lodge. I only have positive comments about this fantastic property, well worth a visit "

"My husband and I came here on our honeymoon mid June. This place is wonderful. It feels so incredibly private and peaceful. In fact, we hardly even saw other guests while there. The villas are lovely and the views are phenomenal. The villas have a kitchen which is fully stocked (plates, silverware, pots, etc) as well as complimentary drinks inside the fridge each day. The outdoor shower and tub are great. The staff are lovely. They take the time to get to know you and your names. They are very kind. The food was great. If you haven’t figured it out from other reviews, you absolutely need to have a 4x4 vehicle to get here! I will admit the drive up was kinda scary sometimes, but it gets better after you do it a few times. There are pretty steep dirt roads to get here. And have good brakes on the car for the way down! A few tips: -bring bug spray, there are lots of insects everywhere. -bring earplugs if you need to sleep in quiet. The wildlife can be loud at night! -there are shades over the windows in your villa, but they don’t really block light. The sun rises very early and it gets very bright. Bring a sleep mask if that’s something you need! -we shopped at the BM Supermercado right in Uvita, it was very convenient. We saw toucans and other amazing birds right from the hotel. You truly are in the jungle here, it’s amazing! I would definitely recommend staying here. Out of all the exploring we did while in CR, Uvita was definitely the best place to be!"

"Beautifully furnished and comfortable condo nestled in a jungle setting overlooking the ocean. Sparkling clean infinity pool, full kitchen, BBQ pit on back patio, excellent service from host and staff. The 5k maintained rock road to get there from main hwy is a bit of a rough drive but well worth it. This was our 5th trip to Costa Rica and we have stayed at many wonderful places- but none as amazing as CanaVida. Only stayed 2 nights- wish we had stayed 2 weeks! "
