"We loved our stay here. Villas El Encanto is located in a quiet residential area with lots of lovely bakery and breakfast options nearby. Our accommodation was excellent. 5 of us (incl 3 teenagers) stayed in a very cool and comfortable family cabin with filtered water and a fully equipped kitchen area. We enjoyed the pool area as well as the pretty garden. Thank you so much for a lovely stay - the kids were very sad to say goodbye to the dogs :-)"

Cozumel feels very safe. People are generally friendly (it is a tourist destination!). Food is amazing - about 2-3 blocks off the oceanside for more local fare. Most menus have an English translation if you do not speak Spanish. Diving is 5 star!!

Top place to go diving and snorkeling. Restaurants are pricey compared to Playa del Carmen. Playa is busy and loud and Cozumel is more relaxed.

keep the reefs in mind if you book in Cozumel and get out on a reef if you visit. the ocean is calling, pick up! so many dive operations to care and pamper you here on the island. Amistad Spanish School is fun also..shout out!

Came for rest and good snorkeling - unfortunately the main reef was closed so snorkeling was ok. Hot for March but not as bad as central Yucatan. The pharmacies and tequila stores were plentiful and needed to sharpen my negotiation skills.

"Propeety grounds were beautiful. Our upstairs room (# 1523) stayed cool, but I heard of others having a hard time getting their room to cool off.
The food was nothing to brag about. We didnt go hungry, but it was not good. The dinner buffet was comparable to Wester Sizzlin's worst day. The lunch buffet was not very good either. The breakfast buffet was the best of the three. For their "specialty" restaurants, you are only allowed one meal for every three days stay. Reserve those as soon as you can! We waited a couple of days and were only able to reserve the Mexican restaurant. It was okay, no complaints on it. We heard the Oriental restaurant was really good, but they didnt have any availability when we went to reserve the restaurants. (Aagain, reserve your restaurant ASAP). The taco stand across the road and down a little bit was AMAZING! FOOD WAS VERY GOOD! I would highly recommend going there. The place is a little sketchy looking, and we seen a bat flying around inside, but the food was good! Haha!
This would be a perfect place for little kids (minus the food situation), as the pools, and games that they do throughout the day, were great. If you are a diver, the location is great as well. They have a peer that the dive boats can pick you up from. There is a per day, per person fee to use the dock. One day we went and it was a $5.00 per person, another day it was $15 per person. These fees are in addition to the "excursion" that you are doing.

"The property is beautiful. We stayed in the Level Up rooms on the on beach. While there was a ton of seaweed in the ocean and really not swimmable, the resort next door had none and that is where we went for snorkeling and swimming. The staff were excellent. The swim up bar was awesome, but it was closed for the last three days we were there and that was a bit disappointing but the lobby bar was open and staff made sure we had drinks when needed. The food is just okay, but we did not have high expectations so it was fine. Breakfast in the Fish House never disappointed. We all had some sort gastrointestinal issues and could have been from the buffet as it was hot and a lot of flies. I would most definitely visit again, but never again in July as it is just too hot."
