"This property was incredibly beautiful. This hotel is more for couples and my husband and I enjoyed it. The food was amazing. Everyone on the staff went over and beyond to assist you with whatever you need. The atmosphere was great as well. The perfect get away to relax, reflect and restore. ""A Hidden Gem with Breathtaking Ocean Views"Our group of 10 had an amazing stay at this Ballena Bliss luxury villa. The spacious layout, including an adjoining casita, provided plenty of room, and the second-floor balcony was a perfect spot to enjoy true Costa Rica jungle sounds and views of the Pacific. We loved gathering and relaxing by the pool, with a bar conveniently connected to the kitchen.The location was perfect—90 minutes from Manuel Antonio National Park, 50 minutes from Nauyaca Waterfalls, 30 min from Uvita Zipline and just 5 minutes to the secluded Playa Piñuela. The property manager was excellent with communication and gave great local recommendations.A fantastic spot for both relaxation and adventure!"

"We were actually the first guests to stay at this property, and everything exceeded our expectations. The house is very spacious, clean, and the ocean view is a beautiful bonus. It’s about a 10-minute drive to Uvita, making the location very convenient.To reach the house, you do need to go through a short rough road, around 150 meters. While it's not very long, a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. We had a Toyota Corolla and managed just fine, except during one rainy night when the car couldn’t make it up the hill, and we had to walk to the property. That was the only minor inconvenience.The outdoor area of the property is still under construction, and the hosts mentioned that they plan to build a pool soon, which will be a great addition. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back to this place in the future!"
"The location of the property is beautiful, set back from the road and elevated for a great view of the Pacific. We particularly enjoyed the Happy Hour each day at 5:00 to enjoy the fabulous sunsets. The pool, the colorful plants, the toucans, tanagers, orapendulas and numerous other birds added so much to our visit. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Our 5 days spent at Cristal Ballena were top notch!"

"This was a luxury stay from start to finish. The house has a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean overlooking its giant infinity pool (great for laps). You can see from Jaco beach all the way to Panama. The night sky is full of stars with zero light or sound pollution. You will sleep like a baby. The home has filtered water so you can drink from the tap or the ice maker. And the kitchen is fit for the most discriminating chefs and foodies. We didn’t leave the property for the full week. Thank you for such a fun and luxurious stay! "

"We loved the place! We had excellent communication from both the owner and the property manager beforehand. The instructions were very clear and understandable. The watermelon and pineapple that were provided were delicious too! The pool was our favorite part of the home and a great way to cool off before bed. The beds were comfortable, the AC in the bedrooms did a great job, and the bathrooms were very nicely appointed. The Coati was by every morning to say hello and we saw a Toucan. The leaf cutter ants in the backyard were fascinating as well. We didn’t spend much time at the house as we had (too) many activities scheduled and were not able to explore the property as we wished. The entry road past the gate did require 4 wheel drive if you stop to lock the gate behind yourself. With momentum, a 2 wheel drive will likely make it up the road just fine. Our only minor complaint is that we found the concrete and cushion couch in the living room very uncomfortable. But that was an only an issue the one night we were home early."

"Starting off from after I booked and paid. There was no communication from the owner about how to check in. I messaged them on WhatsApp multiple times on my way there and gave me no response. I called and he messaged me a vague response of how the unit is on the third floor. Asked if the place was unlocked and he said yes. But the unit was locked and there was lockbox had to call him back twice to finally get the lockbox code. There was blood on a towel in the bathroom and they wouldn’t replace the towel for us just told us to use what we had. They advertise there is beach access from the property but you either have to hike through the jungle for 10 minutes or drive to the beach club and when we tried to walk on the owner said we were trespassing because it’s a national park. So there is NO beach access the property management is lying to you about that. The second shower head in the shower doesn’t work, it drips water. A bunch of lights in the unit don’t work either. There is a bat living in the ceiling between the vaults you can see it and hear it flying around at night. "

"This villa was perfect for our family of 6. The location is stunning with an impressive view of the ocean. The path down to the beach was steep in places, but the beach was unbelievable! Beautiful sand and lots of space. The kids loved swimming there. The villa is decorated beautifully and fairly well equipped. What utensils/pans we didn't have, we were able to get at the shared outdoor kitchen. The communication with the owner was excellent and the staff handled any issues that arose promptly. Would highly recommend these villas!"
