The house is beautifully nestled on a mountain in the rainforest overlooking the ocean. Monkeys visited us every morning, as well as other local wildlife.Licho was the perfect host and was available if we needed anything. Will definitely be returning very soon!"

"I'm so happy that we found this place. This will be a spot we always return to for our family visits to Costa Rica. It's perfectly located near some of the BEST BEACHES and SURF spots in the world! We had SO much fun. How many places have their very own Private Waterfall, fresh Fruit Trees, sky view swimming pool, and top notch security. "I recently stayed at the Hotel Uvita Forest for two nights and had a comfortable stay. The accommodation is very modern, featuring a well-equipped kitchenette, great air conditioning and a comfy bed. There is a pool area that is shared between the rooms and the villas, with sun loungers and areas to sit around it. Hotel Uvita Forest is in quite a vibrant area, so it can be quite noisy until around 10 pm. We ate in some local restaurants, including the Uvita Gastro Park which is right next door, and it had a great vibe with live music. Overall, it was a great stay, and if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Uvita, it’s a great choice."

"We had such a lovely experience while staying here. I went back and forth between this house or a hotel and I'm so happy we choose this house. It made me feel like we got a real Costa Rican experience.Dont let the reviews of the drive-up scare you.It was a little scary the first time but we were totally fine after that initial drive, even in the dark. We saw a lot of cool animals and reptiles every drive up/down. We did experience both a power outage in the evening and a lack of water one morning, but there was excellent communication between the owner and Jairo. Speaking of which, knowing Jairo was near by if needed was a huge relief for our family since we were traveling with four young kids. We brought a package of 5 headlamps from amazon and that was plenty of light to light up the house at night the evening the mountain lost electricity.The property is gorgeous. Like....beyond gorgeous. It felt like heaven sitting on the balcony enjoying the plants, wildlife, and ocean views. There is a lot to explore on the grounds. We went to the stream/swimming hole several times. My boys just loved it. And the pool is so refreshing after a hot day exploring. The kitchen offers everything you need to cook a meal but I'll be honest, we mostly ate out at all the amazing restaurants near by. Dawn has great recommendations. My 4-year-old twins cried the first night back home because they wanted "to be back at the butterfly house." We will definitely be back next time we visit. "
