"I love this hotel! It’s right off Market, within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, museums theaters and BART station. The staff at the desk is always friendly. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is very quiet but there is quite a bit of street noise, which is to be expected in the city. Highly recommend!"

"The hotel is a bit old. It's great if you're looking to stay in a property with a historical aspect. Check-in was troubling. I don't recall on the Hotel's description here on Expedia or on their own website that the deposit was $400 up front. I stayed for 6 days so that should have been around $170. "The hotel was very convenient to walk to the convention center, but far enough away to avoid the crowds. The view was spectacular and the room was comfortable. The pool was a nice plus, but the "adults only" hours were not enforced by staff, so it wasn't easy getting pool time without children. Still, it was a great perk to relax after a long day at the conference. My one big complaint was that the hotel bar was overpriced. We were going to order a bottle of wine, but we asked the price since it wasn't listed. The bartender told us a bottle price that was the same as 5 individual glasses. That's not right. You should always get a discount when ordering the whole bottle. In the end, we got just one glass and went elsewhere, so missed opportunity for the hotel. Other than that, definitely happy and would likely stay again. "
