"This is a perfectly nice hotel. It’s safe, clean, pretty quiet (ask for a room in the back) comfortable, and there’s free parking. The rooms are good sized. There’s a coffee shop down stairs, (Java Beach Cafe) the N Judah muni line right in front and the beach is a block away. This is a quiet residential neighborhood - great fish restaurant nearby- Hook Fish. The only major attractions it’s close to are GGP and the zoo (kinda?) but it’s a nice, quiet, safe place to stay. The only thing I didn’t like was that the lights for reading in bed are in the ceiling, so it’s pretty bright. If you want a lower, more direct light, bring a headlamp."

"Amazing triple room with dune view. Parking was okay depending on the time of day. Stairs were past dirty and had cans mixed with different trash. Homeless people fought on the corner that we were put as we were coming in for the night. Had to park close to them, security, cameras, and better lighting would help with guests feeling secure"

"The rooms were clean, the location is actually pretty good compared to others down the street in the same area. We felt safe, even at night. It's around 30 minutes to the piers, the park, the beach, and other attractions. 12 minutes to Starbucks and Target. It's not far, just city driving takes up the time. There was 1 thing that was a minus for me was the super loud AC/Heater. It sounded like an engine and woke me up every single time it auto turns on when set to auto temp, I'm just a light sleeper, the kids slept through it. The bathroom is very small, the sliding glass doors leaks water when showering, making the mat towel very wet after every shower. When you first check in, you'll talk to a screen, the receptionist is remote, but very helpful and friendly and always available. The parking is assigned, but not in front of your room. So make sure you request 1 infront of your room when you book and check in. Overall I'd recommend this hotel over others in the area."

"We had a nice stay at this little apartment for a 3 day short weekend getaway. It was only a 5 minute (drive) from two different extremely beautiful areas over looking the water (mussel rock and Thornton beach) where there are very unique hiking trails down to the water. There’s a donut place our kids said were the best donuts they ever had (royal donut) and a shopping area with plenty of options for groceries etc.The apartment is conveniently only about 20 minutes from the airport so it was an easy drive back.Inside the apartment we loved that there were 2 bathrooms and the twin beds were on the opposite side of the apartment so our kids who were awake later than us didn’t keep us awake in the other room on our side of the apartment. Wouldn’t recommend for a very long term stay because there was no laundry and no oven/stove. However, there was a full size fridge and a little two burner thing to cook food so we were happy there were cooking utensils and pots and pans and the 2 burners. The street parking was easy and there were always plenty of spots. The bed and comforter were comfortable. The only 2 negatives for us: 1. there was no TV in our room (only one by the kids) and 2. no thermostat in the unit so after a couple days of being way too hot we messaged the host and they quickly replied that the thermostat is upstairs, they had it shut off, and that helped SO much. Great location, easy, very nice host.-family with 2 adults 2 kids"
