"The location is so wonderful! It’s far away enough from downtown that cars don’t bother you, yet close enough to quickly go anywhere you might want. The decoration of the rooms is pretty, and the owners were absolutely amazing! Bugs can sneak in under the door, but not horribly. And I never figured out the shower… could be a me thing. Overall such a wonderful stay!"

"Lovely brand new hotel on a hillside overlooking the main center of Santa Elena. Beautiful clean rooms with clean water and bathrooms, new construction, 5 minute walk to town. The hosts are lovely and welcoming, providing advice to guests on all sorts of things. Communal breakfast in the morning is great too! Most of all, this property is run by a non-profit that supports children's education, so it's great to contribute to the cause by staying here."

"Great lodge near the Monte Verde Reserve. This is one of the lodges highest up the road, about 1 km below the reserve. Great views across the valley. Very nice lodge. Room was in great condition, beds are comfortable, everything was clean. Breakfast is very nice. Staff is very helpful. "

"This was our second stay here. We love the secluded feel with the "forest" at our back door. Easy walk to Cloud Forest entrance. Easy to walk or take taxi into town. The walk wasn't long, but back is a steep climb that our children complained about. Helpful and kind service."
"Such a unique, serene experience. The entire staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The hotel had so many activities within itself it felt like we didn’t have enough time there!! Our favorite part was definitely the farm to table food experience. Every drink and dish was exquisite. "The property was as described and was a nice mix of some modern renovations along with a vintage feel. We loved how it was tucked away under the large trees, and the children absolutely loved the daily monkey visits. The 10 of us mostly spent our time together in the living room area, which has a great open floor plan with high vaulted ceilings. Lush rain forest jungle view off the decks. We had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy the property thoroughly. Robert and Catalina were very helpful and great hosts/caretakers. The property owners were quick to respond to a few of our initial questions about the area. We also loved how close it was to a small little shopping center with bakery, local restaría y, and groceries, and that you could easily walk to them, a few hundred meters away. The multiple structures made it almost like a private resort. So everyone could have their own privacy and getaway. Extremely convenient to all of the activities that Monteverde has to offer."
