"This place was stunning. Really wish we could have had more time here. The trails were beautiful. The rooms were stunning. Staff was awesome and the spa was really a unique and peaceful place. It is a walk though from place to place but the staff is happy to help with their golf carts and very accommodating. We were fine to walk but just noting for people with mobility issues. If you’re fine to use there services i still think this is a gem worth staying at. "

"The hotel has the most amazing view of the volcano. Our room was on a corner in which we were able to see the sunrise and volcano. The hot springs are amazing and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and had many items to choose from. The rooms are a bit outdated but clean. Very close to downtown La Fortuna. "

The room was very comfortable with a great view of the volcano. The grounds are gorgeous. Pool and hot pools were the highlight for me. So beautiful and relaxing. "Amazing place to stay in Monteverde! Very comfortable rooms and our porch had a view into a wooded spot where several different birds greeted us everyday. The walking trail on the property is a great place to see additional birds. We saw motmots, trogons, and several different kinds of hummingbirds. The breakfast is also excellent and filling to start your day. They also offer complimentary coffee in the afternoon. Emmanuel was a great host and help us change a booking for us. I highly recommend Cala Lodge!"
