Stunning property!

"The house was everything you needed; cozy, quaint, stunning views, gorgeous landscaping and privacy. It accommodated everything we needed, which was surprising because we failed to realize there was no central air, and we have a ln 11 month old, but the area we were in stayed relatively cool, and even better at night (nice & cool) and they provided multiple fans to circulate the air. We were never uncomfortable. It was truly a treat for my son and husband who had so much fun checking out the frogs, snakes and stunning birds around the property, especially at night. The road leading to the house wasn’t bad at all, once you get up there the first time you’re not too worried about it but definitely do suggest 4WD. The drive to the house was beautiful and there are dozens of restaurants to stop and enjoy and take on the scenery. We absolutely prefer the jungle area over the beach towns! This house was a win!!!"

"I loved the views this property gave! The room was basic but clean. But the VIEWS were everything! I loved the fact that they had a hiking trail on property, it was a good distance trail that gave a decent workout. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the drinks were good. The pool is well kept but there wasn't a pool bar like it advertised. Definitely would need a car to get anywhere since it's located about 30 minutes from most activities. I would stay again just for the views and peaceful atmosphere. "

Amazing!

"The photos do not do the house justice. On arrival the house was clean and had all of the necessary kitchen and bathroom essentials. Each room had an individual bathroom with shower that had good pressure. The view of the arenal volcano was breath taking and the pool was a perfect way to stay cool down in the heat. Disclaimer the pool structure is made of a cement type of material and we did get some scrapes, but nothing too bad. Also, there is no jacuzzi it is simply a “water feature”. In addition, there are lots of insects surrounding the property and they do tend to go in the house but we expected it and we had no real issues. One thing I wish the house provided would be some type of curtain in the master bedroom. The sunrise would light up the room and wake us up very early and at night it was pitch black outside and creepy at first especially with all the noise outdoors. Overall, we would definitely stay here on our next visit to Costa Rica!"

"Beautiful property with lots of amenities. Flowers, birds, howler monkeys, etc…can be enjoyed throughout the property. The massage hut, on site, was outstanding!!! Many restaurants and activities within walking distance."

Beautiful Oasis

"This was truly and amazing place to stay! It is more of an oasis than a B&B. The room, property, expansive views, gardens and location were absolutely fantastic and we enjoyed every minute of the 5 days we stayed there. The owners are absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to add a personal touch. Amazing homemade breakfast (included) on the veranda was a great start to each day. Highly recommended!!"

Views for Miles!

"What a wonderful place to stay while visiting Arenal! The views of both Lake Arenal and the volcano are incredible. The whole property is meticulously maintained and within easy walking distance to the village of El Castillo, restaurants and kayak rentals on the lake. Our unit (Pie in the Sky 1) was really clean, had a well appointed kitchen and even had coffee - bonus!! Directions to the property were easy to follow and the check-in process was seamless. The staff are very friendly and helpful. El Castillo is much quieter than La Fortuna and very close to Arenal National Park."

"Do yourself a favor and rent this property! The house is absolutely adorable and inspired us to start looking for our dream Costa Rican house. Michael, the caretaker, met us at no one is how are you gonna get in? check-in and the owners ensured we were happy with our stay. Everything was thought out and you had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous and we had many early bird visitors that were a treat to watch. The house is near Essence Arenal where we took yoga classes and had a lovely meal as well as Arenal Observatory where a day hike was enjoyed. Will definitely be back!"
