"We loved our stay mainly because of the acre of fruit trees and numerous geckos that entertain. There wasn’t any ripe fruit when we visited, except for some grapefruit, but if your trip is at the right time of year, I am sure it is fun to eat fresh fruit from the orchard. It was nice to feel like you could be outside with privacy. The house has an outdoor kitchen and living areas which we enjoyed. "

"We loved this house! Two sisters and their husband’s stayed here, ages 67-74. The house was comfortable, spotless, well equipped and our check in instructions and info about the house were impeccable. We enjoyed the back patio area for morning coffee and enjoying the sun. The heavy duty blender helped create some delicious daiquiris! The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well.The landscaping was primitive but the gardener in me delighted in the treasures we found- pineapple, blooming anthurium and several trees and bushes, including a very tall cactus at the driveway edge. We would definitely choose this place for another trip to Paradise!"

"This beautifully decorated hale was clean & well-stocked. I loved the decor & the screened lanai. I enjoyed living like a local. Hilo was an easy drive even at night. And if you can, you must check out the sunrise at the nearby cliffs. Patti was a great, responsive host. I hope to stay here again on my next trip.A hui hou."

"The hotel is older and a little run down, but that was no surprise as they were very clear on the condition. Given that, it’s very clean and I had no concerns about the bed linens or towels. It all added to the character! It’s located just a few blocks from downtown which was fantastic, but I didn’t feel totally comfortable with the area to walk there by myself at night so I just drove. "
