"We love staying at the Dolphin Bay Hotel. It is conveniently located near many places we visit, the staff is wonderful, and the rooms are simple but roomy. We also enjoy how peaceful the neighborhood is and a big bonus is getting fresh coffee, banana bread and fruit every morning. Parking is easy, the WiFi is 5G so accessing devices is super quick. "

"We absolutely loved the location and the beautiful common areas at Hilltop Legacy — peaceful surroundings and stunning views! The host was very friendly and even took time to chat with us and share some great local recommendations. The bathroom didn’t have a vent, so it could get a bit musty after use, and we missed having a microwave and an iron. "This is an older property, but it is well maintained, very clean, and moderately priced. Beautiful oceanside location that is a short drive from Volcanoes National Park. Our only contact with staff was with the security person who took care of our late check in for our one night stay. He was very helpful and pleasant. We would absolutely stay here again. "

"The property was clean and conveniently located. It was comfortable for us to stay in and convenient to Volcanoes National Park, Rainbow Falls, and Mauna Kea. All things we saw during our stay. A quick 5 min drive (or less) to anywhere in Hilo town. Great place to stay."

Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo - a Doubletree by Hilton

"We have been having great experiences in Hawaii at every place we have stayed so far. But I have to mention something special about this property. We stayed here only for one night -but every bit of it was worth it. The staff at the reception desk on 20 th evening - her name is Ipo - was just amazing! We just mentioned that our younger one’s birthday is on 21 st and we wanted to know if there was an option of getting a cake somewhere. Not only she arranged a cake as a courtesy , she got beautiful garland and a cute birthday card signed by the staffs for our little one and had everything ready to be picked up at the front desk at 11 at night! We travel all around the world - this was so special ! We never experienced this kind of hospitality anywhere before ! They didn’t have to do any of it - we would still love the property - its location right on the water - beautiful view from the balcony - the excellent service by the staffs at the restaurant! We couldn’t ask for anything more ! It will be nice to come back again ! Thank you Ipo and thank you all the staffs ! "

Hilo's Finest 2 bd Condo - Pool, A/C, Views!

"What can I say aside from practically perfect. The condo was everything we could ever hope for - clean, comfortable, truly the feel of home away from home. The BBC is located at the point of Little Hickory Island and is adjacent to Lover's Key - just a channel dividing them. The beach is quiet and clean with old Florida vibes. And if you enjoy searching for seashells, bird watching, fishing, or swimming in the Gulf, this location is for you. For those who are not fond of swimming in the Gulf, the pool at the BBC is incredible and unique. There is ongoing construction with workers finishing up on repairs as part of the BBC's recovery from Hurricane Ian. This did not detract from our experience. When the opportunity presents itself again, we will happily revisit the BBC with this host."
