"First we were told that we were upgraded for free to a room with a view of the River and of Ponte Vecchio. That was already a win!!! The view from the hotel room was so so beautiful. The staff were super friendly and polite and professional. The next best thing about the hotel is the buffet breakfast spread! Of all the hotels we stayed in Italy, this hotel had the best breakfast spread and the food was great quality. We especially enjoyed the variety of pastries that were nicer than those cafes...

"A traditional Italian hotel. Lots of dark wood. Staff very friendly. Breakfast view of the Duomo is stunning. Fair buffet breakfast. Roof top terrace bar. Not quite enough staff. Brilliant shower, always loads of hot water. WiFi is virtually non existent. They know this and nothing is done. Weirdly our European adapter that we’ve used all over Europe wouldn’t fit, we bought another one. Great location. You are near everywhere. "We had an excellent stay for 3 nights in Florence. The hotel was conveniently located close to all the major sites within walking distance including fabulous restaurants. The hotel was safe, clean and the staff were friendly. Our room was spacious with high ceilings and a large bathroom. Other reviewers are right about the noise coming from the street at night if your room faced that way, but with the windows closed it didn’t bother us.
