"I loved the Turf hotel. We were late arriving but the young lady stayed on site until we arrived. That alone is worthy of a good review. The room was fine, a little run down but certainly not a problem. The bedding was fantastic, plenty of pillows and a lovely warm duvet. We were only there briefly, we left straight after breakfast (which was really nice). Everybody we spoke to was super happy & helpful. I think we'll be back in the area soon and the Turf will be my first phone call for...

"Great stay for two night break on the coast to Coast trail. Staff was friendly and helpful. Friday nights are very loud with karaoke so be prepared! Food was good, but basic pub food. Breakfast had several choices and the avocado and poached egg was especially good. There's an awesome Indian restaurant called the mango tree just a few buildings down. Laundromat behind the Black Bull hotel which was very convenient. About 6 pounds to run the washer and one or two for the dryer. There's a tourist...

"Stayed for 2 nights. 2 adults, 2 children and our dog. This place is a hidden gem in North Yorkshire. We had the most magical time. The Tree house and hut tub were pre heat for our arrival. Despite being very cold the little Tree house was so so cozy and remained cosy all night long after the fire had burnt out. There are multiple lights and fairy lights all round so it’s well Illuminated and you can swap the lights at reception daily for fully charged ones. There is plenty of wood at the end of...

"On arrival the radiator wasnt working so the lovely host moved rooms and couldnt do enough to make sure i was ok. Then threw in a couple of free beers. The staff working literally couldnt do enough to help"
