"It’s difficult, because I can understand the wide range of reviews. The fact that there are no staff on site, coupled with an unusual door access system, makes thinking of this as a hotel (never mind the star rating) somewhat of a stretch. Having said that, a mobile number was provided if needed. Our room was clean (although somewhat dated) and had all the equipment we expected. One big issue that we only subsequently learned about was that some of the rooms did not have an en suite. Ours did (with a much-appreciated heated towel rail), but I would have been very annoyed if we had been allocated a room without. Make sure of your room number! The location is excellent. Parking is available, but limited, so don’t be the last to arrive. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and felt we had good value for money."

"The cottage was high spec and it had everything you needed such as lovely robes, towels. Everything looked clean and fresh. The kitchen was very clean and had great features. The hot tub was lovely and warm, just what you needed after the Malham Cove walk. The neighbours are friendly and the farm shop is great for breakfast and evening meal. Great stay definitely recommend it."

"Farfield House was wonderful and the best equipped cottage we have stayed in, just like home from home. A great base for visiting the Dales and although there arenâ€™t any amenities in the village (not quite true as there is a very expensive Michelin starred restaurant/pub within walking distance) itâ€™s not far to shops and pubs in Gargrave and the Devonshire Arms at Cracoe was wonderful, very dog friendly and the locals made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend ðŸ˜Š"
