"Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely.
Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful.
Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here."

Gamekeepers Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Fab stay, attentive friendly staff. Really good food. "
"We recently stayed at Falcon Manor for a weekend getaway and were absolutely blown away. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome – the building itself is stunning, set in beautiful grounds with sweeping views over the Dales.
Our room was immaculate, full of character with high ceilings, period details, and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern and well-equipped, with lovely touches like L’Occitane toiletries and fluffy towels. We especially enjoyed the peaceful view from our window—it was the perfect place to relax after a day of walking.
The food was a real highlight. Breakfast was generous and freshly cooked (the Eggs Benedict were a standout), and dinner in the restaurant was delicious—thoughtfully presented and full of flavour. The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. Nothing felt rushed or impersonal.
The location is ideal if you're looking to explore the Yorkshire Dales. It's just a short walk from the centre of Settle and close to the Settle–Carlisle railway. We even brought our dog, and the hotel was incredibly dog-friendly—treats at reception and a warm welcome all around.
Overall, Falcon Manor felt like a special blend of country-house charm and modern comfort. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend it for couples, walkers, or anyone looking for a stylish countryside escape."
"We stayed here for two nights. Lovely and clean with everything we needed. Very quiet, beautiful views and location and perfect for walking straight from the front door. Very tasty breakfasts. Would definitely recommend. "
"Stayed here with a friend in preparation for Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge. Check in very easy. Warm welcome. Very hospitable staff. We had to leave the hotel early next morning before kitchen opened but staff left us breakfast (cereals, yogurt etc) out for us which was really appreciated. Also made us sandwiches to take with us. Pub/bar and food was really good. Cosy. "
"We took a spontaneous trip to Malham Cove for a night away.
This lovely hotel is down a quiet country road 1/2 a mile from the cove and near to several other pubs and cafes.
The building is very old and reached over an old stone bridge or the beck (stream)
Parking is available and the room was nicely furnished with views of the water and a very comfy bed.
The hotel and attached restaurant is completely plant based. I somehow missed this fact when booking but I needn’t have worried.
The dinner was excellent and the breakfast even better. The staff were friendly and would consider again for a get away to see the stunning local scenery "
1 bedroom accommodation in Scalegill Mill, near Kirkby Malham
8/10 Good
"This one bedroom apartment is in a great location for exploring Malham and the surrounding areas. It is well proportioned and generally clean, although the windows need a good exterior wash. The neighbours were really friendly and helpful and the apartment is well equipped. Our major issue was with the wifi which was so intermittent as to be non existent. This also meant the advertised smart tv channels didn’t work either. "
