"While the location was wonderful, the property itself is in need of some essential upgrades. The hallways, lighting, and rooms are very run down. The carpet in our room was stained and the bathroom had water damage that needed to be addressed. I did enjoy having coffee and water bottles available during our stay and the room size itself was pretty good for a NY hotel room in this area."

"It was terrible. It was so noisy I was not able to sleep. The noise from outside was unbearable. The location is great but that is it. The hotel is expensive and does not even have real glasses to drink wine or water. There is no mini-fridge. The room was small. The staff was polite and did what they could. I will never go back to this hotel. The quality-price is awful."

"The pictures are accurate - Sohotel looks exactly as pictured. Exposed brick, beautifully finished, cool lighting and accent pieces all around. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was a touch on the small side, but very comfortable bed, nice amenities (cool Bluetooth powered sound system, camera to borrow), bathroom was amazing - heated floor, great shower and looked beautiful. We'll be back for sure."

"Great pr I certainly for what I required a bed the night before an all day business conference. The "pod" was reminiscent of an Amtrak Roomette. Basics only. No elevator and I had 40 lbs of equipment to haul up to the 4th floor."

"This property was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. There was a lift. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and always available. We could leave our luggage on the final day. The location was excellent. It felt very safe and was close to subways. I can't fault it. "
