location in nature is great. staff is super helpfull. Frig in room was too small. There was no cable tv. Internet connection was not available all over the property. I'm not a picky person. I really had a good time there but there are some improvements necesary for it to become a great place again.

Hi - the pictures and past reviews for this hotel were very misleading. The hotel looks like it is not very well maintained. There are no true amenities in the hotel or near by. They did not have 24 guest service, the phones in the rooms didn't connect to the front desk or room service, etc, the room was large but very dated, some outlets did not function, the bathtub looked like it was broken and then fixed with plaster, so it was not flat under your feet, the TV was very old and did not have a clear picture, the staff was not very friendly, the food was pretty horrible and the same day to day, the all-inclusive claim was very confusing and misleading as to what was included in our hotel price, there were some small ants on the bed int he room, and it was impossible to get snacks or drinks afte 9/10pm at night.

Sculptures around garden/architecture were fabulous!Got kinda annoyed when Ms. Diana at Kura Hulanda Village after shuttle arrival directed me to the employee bathroom outside whereas the white European men were directed to the inside bathroom. I am a busy Interventional cardiplogist who missed the first all-inclusive night due to work and didn't whine about it but this segregationist , colorist behavior did annoy me. Don't think Mr. Jacob Dekker would have approved given the fabulous slavery museum he built. Okay I guess as I do see myself as one of the people and all others were very friendly, helpful.

PARADISE LOST. We stayed here from 10 Feb-17 Feb 2020. This property was purchased by an "investment group" who are milking it dry and not putting one cent into maintenance or repairs. Toilets i n the lobby and restaurant are broken. The pool needs resurfacing as tiles are missing, grout missing and pavers around the pool also missing. The trails and gardens serve to remind you of what once was as they are covered with broken irrigation hoses and fairly barren. Our room (#210-Oceanfron Suite) was wonderful and gthe view was fantastic BUT....f There is only ONE restaurant and it ONLY serves minimal buffets. The "all inclusive" is meaningless as the bar only offers house brand wine, beer, rum vodka and "the drink of the day" On Two nights they were out of rum, vodgka and beer. On THREE nights thedy were out of the drink of the day. the "investors" are driving this once great facility into the ground and soon it will only be fot for cockroaches, ants and the ever present iguanas.

The condition of the hotel are very old and it needs maintenance.(old TVs, AC didnā€™t work properly). Staff very impolite, no helpful at all. The buffet food is not good quality and they run out of food so quickly. The room werenā€™t no clean at all. Dusty and dirty.

Food selection was limited, but the food itself was tasty. Most staff were friendly, but not overly helpful. Bar tenders were rarely AT the bar and needed called over, and would not make cocktails that included more than 2 ingredients. Some weird, rather limiting all-Inclusive rules. No food available outside of prescribed buffet times, so donā€™t miss out on a meal and youā€™ll be just fine. We had a good time, but had to work and plan to have a good time. Donā€™t expect to be pampered here. We rented a car and rather enjoyed exploring the island during most days, otherwise would have been pretty bored. Pool area leaves a lot to be desired. No hot tub. No lights in pool, so just feels dark and not welcoming once the sun goes down (which is around 7:00p). Bring bug spray, gnats morning through night and mosquitos show up every evening. Stray cats roamed around underfoot every dinner time, birds loomed nearby at lunch. Donā€™t leave your food unattended to refill your drink! Also found and killed a scorpion in my bathroom the first night. Maybe thatā€™s just island life? Beach towels provided are old, thin, raggedy. Beach chairs are included, but public can also come and rent them and they go quickly! So get down there early (8:30 local time) and youā€™ll get a spot. Itā€™s small, homey, and a decent chill pad if youā€™re off to scuba/snorkel/explore. Set your expectations low before arriving and youā€™ll likely have a nice vacation like we did.
