Historic Hotels in Westchester County

"We booked knowing this was an old property, and we wanted it for that reason. The room in the older building did look a little tired, and the balcony was run down and tired, but it had lovely views. What I didn't know and what detracted from enjoying the balcony, was the loud music that came from below us and lasted until 11:00 p.m. I called the hotel and was told the music "usually ends" around 10:00-10:30 p.m. So, by 10:45, I called again and was told that he would contact the bar. "We thought the grounds and facility were wonderful. We loved the concept. But, it needed some TLC. It has the potential to be fabulous place. It is a shame that it is not kept up as it should be. You should not call it a “….Hotel and Spa”, if you do not have the Spa open for guest. It us so unique, we would love to see it thrive. Thank you!"

"Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was relatively clean but there was a crack in the kitchen sink. Also lights were too dull. Hot breakfast buffet was good but no bacon! :) Overall, kids liked it. Places to eat and shop were close by "

"Nice spacious room. Attentive and helpful staff. A couple relatively minor criticisms (that would not keep me from coming back!) are: a) the AC system in the room was very loud and ran continuously to maintain 70 degrees & b) the scrambled eggs (a main breakfast item for most people) in the buffet tastes like boxed powered eggs to which water was added. They didn't exactly remind me of "cage free" eggs as their label indicated. Perhaps making some shredded cheese available to add on top would...
