"We booked knowing this was an old property, and we wanted it for that reason. The room in the older building did look a little tired, and the balcony was run down and tired, but it had lovely views. What I didn't know and what detracted from enjoying the balcony, was the loud music that came from below us and lasted until 11:00 p.m. I called the hotel and was told the music "usually ends" around 10:00-10:30 p.m. So, by 10:45, I called again and was told that he would contact the bar. "The room and staff were great. Only complaint is the sink drainage was backed up in the room. We couldn’t wash our hands in the bathroom sink because the water took forever to go down the drain."
