"Edison Hotel location is perfect. If you are coming to New York to see Broadway shows. We saw 7 shows in 5 days and walked only a few blocks at most to get to each theater. The rooms are clean and comfortable and surprisingly larger than we expected for a New York hotel. Our rate included free grab and go breakfast each day. We did upgrade for $6.50 each to sit down breakfast at both Friedman’s and Bond 45, but the best breakfast was free at Carve on the corner of 8th & 47th. We will definitely be staying at the Edison for our next trip to NYC! "

"My daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights and it was the best! Our room was very clean. The location was great for us (we saw some Broadway shows, but also took the subway to some other areas. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast and was welcomed every morning before we set out for the day. I would stay here again."

"This hotel is centrally located and easily accessible by all transport in the city. The hotel is large and can be busy but the staff are well prepared and know how to handle all the people. The room was a comfortable size with microwave, fridge and roll out table. The bed was comfy and when we needed more pillows they were delivered quickly! "

"Just returned from a 2-night stay at Hotel St James and had a great experience. This is an older hotel with a lot of character and charm. However, if you’re looking for a lot of bells and whistles, this might not be for you. Our room with 2 full beds was neat and spacious (not huge but not cramped), with good closet space; the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the beds were comfortable and with crisp, clean bedding. It is an older building and the water pressure wasn’t great but that wasn’t a deal breaker, if I had to make a suggestion, I would recommend that they replace the shower heads with something that offers a wider spray as the current one is very small. Our room was at the front of the building so it was a little noisy at night, but it’s NYC, so it’s to be expected. There aren’t a lot of extras (no coffee maker in the room and no restaurant/room service onsite), but the price is very reasonable for Time Square, you can’t beat the location; easy access to the Broadway shows and subway stations. The real star of the show was Joey on the front desk, he definitely lived up to his reputation! He was friendly and welcoming, and so helpful. If you’re looking for a budget friendly stay in NYC, Hotel St James is definitely a great choice. I will definitely be back. 👍"
