"Every time we come to stay at the Red Roof Inn on 196 Ballard Court in Virginia Beach Virginia we have an excellent relaxing time the area around the hotel is clean our room is always clean and the staff is wonderful!"

"The hotel has potential but it is dirty and noisy. The floor of the hotel room was sticky and dirty and i didn’t trust walking around barefoot. It was overpriced for how dirty and noisy it was. I was afraid they might have bed bugs. Surprisingly i did not see any bugs. They don’t require a deposit like most hotels so for this reason they attract an interesting crowd. No pet fees was a plus. (I had one pet) They do have a small refrigerator in room but no microwave. Spacious room size. Very close to a loud highway. People in surrounding rooms were making noise all night. (Sounded like domestic disputes) People walking around all hours of the night. I smelled weed everywhere even though they claim to be a smoke free hotel. Saw signs for human trafficking in lobby and Signs in room to lock up for safety security, Red flags! Bathroom had someone else’s hair all over the floor from a prior stay. Random people seemed to be parked in the parking lot (not monitored) top floor air conditioning had vent pipes coming out of building wall that stuck out and leak all over the sidewalk on the ground floor below. Constantly leaking water and it leaked onto my stuff when I was getting my things from my car, Very disgusting! Elevators and walkways were dirty. Not worth the money paid. If u have pets and don’t have a credit card to pay a deposit and don’t require a clean room, then this place might just be for you. If not, there is much better options for 20$ more dollars a night elsewhere. "

"Room was fine, lamp shades were foggy but honestly it’s obvious this hotel use to not be smoke free in some rooms. Quiet in the room, clean sheets and bathroom. A hole in the wall saying ‘Kyle was here’ with a punch in it was funny and concerning. Definitely not a good family vacation hotel, please stay away from Norfolk, families. But it was fine for solo business or budget couples travel. Not the worst option if you’re trying to get to VA beach but totally not the best. Staff was friendly, and listened to any concerns. Bring a wheel lock with you as motor thefts are common. "
