"I have stayed at hundreds of VRBOs over the years, and this is was one of my favorites. The layout is perfect, keeping sleeping areas separate from gathering areas. The home feels comfortable and homey, not like rentals. It was extremely clean - did not even see a single spider (rare in Tahoe).They always say kitchens are well stocked, but that is often a bit of hyperbole. Here it was not. Anything a cook would need is here...down to a waffle and espresso makers!The beds and linens are extremely comfortable, and I am very picky about that. While I don't typically complain about beds, I will point out when they are exceptional.My dog also enjoyed the property - the open space behind the house was perfect for him to wander about under my supervision (no fencing, but he is highly trained and under voice control at all times). Our purpose in going was to hike Desolation Wilderness, Meeks Bay Trailhead, and this house gave us easy access to Tahoe City for food, yet just a quick drive to the trailhead.The neighborhood is quiet, and there is an easy walking/hiking trail just up the street at the dead end. DON'T MISS walking up there to see the view!! We sort of stumbled upon it when taking my dog for his pre-departure walk. There are long logs set out to allow you to sit and appreciate the unobstructed Lake Tahoe view.The Property Management Company was great - super responsive and easy to work with.The owners have done a wonderful job with this property."

"The cabin was an excellent choice for our large family gathering. Hard to find a place with this many bedrooms, all of which were clean and ready. The huge dining table was great to be able to have the whole family sit together. The view from the hot tub is incredible. We also used the beach access which has a great park for the kids. It appears that most of the bathrooms have recently been updated and there's ongoing work to update other parts of the property. Mike was easy to get a hold of for the minor issues that did arise. "

"Super location. It had an excellent view of the lake and mountains. We walked to a few cafes and restaurants along a fabulous cycle and pedestrian trail. The house was very well equipped. "

"Very nice house. Lots of parking for our 3 vehicles. The kitchen was very well appointed and we were able to cook our meals for 6 people with ease. Comfy beds! I would call the property 'pet tolerant.' Friendly neighbor dogs roam free which our dogs did not appreciate. It is RIGHT ON the busy highway 89. Crossing the road to access the beach was a little scary on Saturday. Impossible to leave windows open in the evening due to road noise and the front deck was well furnished but same road noise applies.The private beach was a joy. Not crowded and beautiful. A LONG block to walk but do-able even for granny. "
