"Brilliant staff and hotel, first morning there was a couple screaming the place down arguing below us at 6:30 am but that is out of the hotels control, staff and hotel was fantastic we will be back again first time here"

"This is a beautiful place, set in gorgeous grounds and perched high on the hill overlooking the lake. The gardens are perfectly manicured and the viewpoint with the double swing is fantastic. Our room had all mod cons and a very comfortable bed. The wardrobe was a bit small for hanging trousers or a long dress but we used the hanger on the toilet door. Our breakfast was lovely with very attentive staff and a great choice of food. I woukd recommend the overnight oats as these were delicious. Unfortunately, we had a very noisy room (18) which we sadly had to complain about( I hate doing that!) I don't know of it was a noisy pipe or valve just above our room but it did spoil our sleep. Hopefully they will get it fixed."

The Belsfield Hotel

"Hotel is in an ideal position overlooking the lake. Unfortunately our garden view room on the bottom floor was overlooking a large bush so no view of the garden or lake although it did have a patio door with table and chairs on a small shared patio. Unfortunately they are still in the process of renovating the hotel so we had a strong smell of paint in our room as it was just painted 2 days before we arrived which was unpleasant. The biggest disappointment was no spa or swimming facilities yet. We were told it would be at least another 2 years before they are built. All in all lovely hotel, staff were amazing, nice breakfast but we would not be returning because of there being no spa facilities."

"I could pick flaws if I really wanted to but, overall, this place was fantastic. Dated rooms but they're in decent order and clean. The decor downstairs is really nice and the gardens and views are stunning. Nice little touches too like a pianist at dinner time and a birds of prey demo after breakfast. We saw a deer and pheasants in the gardens in the morning"

North Lakes Hotel And Spa

"We loved our brief stay! Perfect for a stopover on the long drive from Sussex to Scotland. Ideally situated and clean with friendly staff and great facilities. The restaurant food was excellent, too - we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. Our children loved their bunk beds in our room! Will almost certainly visit again."
