"I can’t fault this hotel for the location - it’s the reason we have stayed here twice this year. But honestly, the whole hotel needs ripping out and starting again to bring it up to date. There are limited plugs in all rooms. None of them have any plugs near the bed. There are NO USB sockets anywhere. There is no aircon, and the air cooling system fails when it gets too hot. The showers are weak and badly positioned. There is (poor quality) handwash in the bathrooms, but no complimentary...

"Very nice and very clean hotel in a convenient location. Close to many restaurants and access to a number of busses and trains. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The superior single room I stayed in was small as compared to US hotel rooms, but was very comfortable."

"This is the second time we have stayed here. The location can’t be beat for walking to so many attractions. We even walked to the theatre district to take in a show. The rooms are clean, the breakfast has anything you would want. The staff packed us a breakfast “to go” on our final morning as we had to depart before breakfast opened. "I stayed at this hotel for several nights, the room was clean and quiet, although it was cold (17 C) as I could not adjust the temperature by the thermostat. The location initially appeared to be difficult to get to as I had a long walk from the Metro (Overground). I later found that there is a bus route that stops by very close to the hotel, so I was able to use that which made it very convenient. The restaurant was large and spacious. The scenery is very good as it is located on the riverside...

"Liked the location but very difficult to find! Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast and bar were OK. The rooms were extremely small for the price , even by European standards. There was a significant radiator leak in our room so they asked us to move to another and we did with no help offered even though we had to repack and move up one floor. that was a major mistake as the largest heat wave to hit the area in decades arrived, needless to say, there was no air conditioning!"

"Dommage qu'il n'y a de climatisation, vu la canicule que nous avons connu mais heureusement que le personnel a ouvert la fenêtre dans la soirée pour faire de l'air dans la chambre, qui est spacieuse. Du coup, il y a quand même du bruit de la circulation qui gêne un peu le sommeil donc il faut prévoir des bouchons d'oreilles !"

It was a great location in an old building (actually reminded us of a tenement from NYC) The shared bathroom/showers were actually quite convenient as we could all use separate facilities at the same time. The room on the first floor was a bit warm and a bit loud until midnight but would not say it affected our stay. Would recommend."
