The bedrooms are good sizes and we had everything we needed. My daughter appreciated the tvs with access to app subscriptions. The hot tub is huge, very relaxing. Lovely to have a fire and outside space. Being next to the stream and right by the waterfall was a great bonus. "

"Generally a good hotel and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was very good. Our family room looked very tired. In particular, the carpet, net curtains and bathroom sink need to be replaced and modernised."

"The staff are as always are lovely and the food wonderful - quality, variety and quantity. Maybe signs making reference to noise levels in the room corridoors could prompt some guests to be aware of others. The bar is lovely, decor and clean and impeccable service but an idea could be to put sport on just one of the tv screens and maybe Sky news on the other with subtitles."

"The management of this hotel seem to be under the impression that adding "boutique" to the name is sufficient to give it a veneer of quality. Unfortunately the name is where that veneer abruptly & catastrophically ends. I’ll start with the 1 positive - the staff were all fine – no issues there. The hotel itself is dilapidated and old - water dripping from the ceiling in the bar, signs hanging off walls, carpet that ends 2" short of the wall, but the real joy begins when you go upstairs. "Lovely hotel on the sea front. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Shops, restaurants, steam railway all within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent. The complimentary soft drinks and snacks were a nice touch. Room was adequate for a 1 night stay, lovely bathroom & comfortable bed. Would return again and recommend to others"
