"I liked the old fashioned nature of the hotel. I had the impression that the charming lift hadn't changed since the 1920s. It was a change to have breakfast served by waiters from a menu instead of self service from a buffet but I like both kinds of service. The hotel is situated at the north end of the mile and half promenade so wasn't exactly convenient for the town centre but the bus transport was very regular which made up for it. I was able to catch a bus from opposite the hotel directly to the airport which was very convenient."

"Excellent stay quality of bed, bedding, bathroom, location and staff first class. Great breakfast choice and well cooked. Rooms were spotless. 2 TVs, one in lounge and second in bedroom. View across the bay was beautiful. All good."

"Very clean and comfortable room with great views. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was standard hotel fare but very tasty. Could do with more fish dishes on the menu is my only criticism. Bar was well stocked but a trifle expensive."

"The property was in an ideal location for all the Bowling Greens used for the Isle of Man Bowls Festival. Only 5 minutes walk to the local Tesco and 10 minutes to the sea front. The apartment was clean and comfortable with no noise from the other apartments in the building. When staying in the apartments you have use of the restaurant and bar in the sister hotel which us 2 minutes walk away. I would recommend to family and friends"

"The first impression was good on entering the hotel. The lift however is insufficient in size especially with many guests as was case when I stayed. This caused problems at breakfast time. The single room was smaller than expected. Reception staff V Good. Limited seating in comfortable Piano Bar area. There were 2 coach trips in every day of my stay. Ideal position for Public transport."

"The Claremont experience is exceptional, from the moment you enter the hotel, to the moment you leave. The hotel is well located, but it is the team that deliver a service which is hard to beat. The house keeping, breakfast, dinner and bar service is not just professional, it is delivered by a team of very polite and friendly people and it is always a pleasure to see them again and again. Our room was very well attended to on a daily basis and the Claremont house keeping service is the best we have ever experienced, with both a morning and night time visit. We have stayed at The Claremont many times and the service quality is always consistently high, within a very well managed hotel. This was our fifth visit to The Claremont in fifteen months and I urge hotels.com/Expedia to continue the service with the best hotel on the island."
