"Extremely helpful staff, good food, well located. Didn’t know that the week I was starting the hotel was replacing all the entrance doors to all the rooms. So I was staying in a building site during the day. No advance notice, just an apology slid a note slid under the door after the first day."

"The 2 rooms which we have were absolutely awful….dirty and dusty and old. Walls didn’t see paint for years -some of wallpaper was stick together with tape ! We have mould and damp on the wall . My son vie from the window was bins and cars as his room was on the basement. Food was extremely basic and poor quality. Stuff smoking cigarettes outside and whole halls stink . You can hear drains all evening when people flushed the toilet. Walls are very thick so you can hear every single noise….Awful...

"I knew I'd made the right choice of hotel from the moment I arrived. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly, the public rooms were gorgeous and tastefully decorated. Everything looked immaculate and gave a great first impression. I dined in the restaurant one evening and the meal was one of the best I've had in a while. The waiting staff are perfect - attentive but not over-bearing. The spa facilities were wonderful. Overall, a fabulous stay and I'd definitely book again."

"Have stayed before but this time we had a two bedroom apartment. As with our previous stays, the apartment was comfortable, warm, well equipped. Yes a bit worn in places. Cooking facilities could be a little better eg. Condition of frying pan, no cooking oil but otherwise everything you could need. Facilities on site are excellent. Adventure golf was very good. "A lovely estuary view balcony room enhanced by the late April sunshine. A beautifully fitted overlarge bathroom with feature bath and rain forest shower. Quality bramley accessories. Quite happy not to pay extra for the cooked breakfast as the continental version was comprehensive. The car park was tricky but the helpful steward organised our space satisfactory. The estuary view is superb and we would heartily recommend the hotel even for a few days despite the high cost."
