"This was hands-down the best resort we have ever been to. It was super clean and the staff was extremely caring and friendly! Adan was our concierge and he was awesome! He got us into the restaurants we asked for and continually checked on us. He genuinely wanted us to enjoy our time! We also loved the spa! We did the hydrotherapy and wow!!! Gerard at the spa took us through it and was amazing (because we had no idea what we were doing). He was fantastic! He even made us a wonderful coffee! We just got home today and I absolutely recommend this resort!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!"

"What a fabulous place! This was our 2nd time in Akumal but our first at La Sirena and we will definitely be back. The grounds are gorgeous, the pool is beautiful, and you simply cannot beat the snorkeling on-site (bring water shoes as it's a rocky entry). Despite the many daytrips we planned, we hardly left the lounge chairs on the sargasso-free (!!) beach (except to grab excellent coffee and breakfast at Jungle Cafe just a short walk down the street). This was truly one of our most relaxing vacations - we can't wait to return."

"Que Onda was an outstanding property and we would love to return. The well maintained and beautiful garden contains a pool that is shared with only one other unit. It is an easy walk to Yalku lagoon as well as the reef on Half Moon Bay, or a short bike ride into Akumal. Bikes and snorkeling gear are available for guest use. The unit itself is simply gorgeous and the pictures don't do it justice. Note that the Master bedroom is on the 3rd (US definition) floor, but the view from the master patio is well worth it. We were up early each morning to listen to the bird song and watch as the sun rose over the jungle, with peekaboo views of the water. The owners live on site and are so kind and responsive and we truly enjoyed getting to visit with them. Their new undertaking, a small bakery with sourdough bread, pastries and other goodies, was such incredible treat. All of our meals were outside in the garden, which was so lovely and peaceful. We spent 10 days driving around the Yucatan peninsula, taking in as much as we could, but it was Que Onda that we will dream of returning to. "

"We loved everything about this lovely house! Having private access to Yal-Ku Lagoon is amazing. And the pool and the large palapa are terrific. We especially loved the local wildlife that walks through the yard- so cool! It’s a short two minute walk to the new bakery at Que Onda (we had hot sourdough every morning)- icing on the cake. Highly recommend renting a golf cart- it made getting around so much fun. "
