"Casa Don Diego is a wonderful place to stay in now-overgrown Tulum. It is easy walking distance from the main strip and lots of restaurants and shops. Yet it is far enough away to be quiet and tranquil. The pool and grounds are lovely. The breakfast each morning is fresh and delicious. Stay at this well-run, comfortable hotel."

However, the room we booked was bare bones, the towels were clean but permanently stained, the shower and bathroom had someone else's stray hairs, and you could hear basically everything happening on the floor.
