"Great location near some lovely eating places and close to the Galata bridge and lots of transport links. Staff not very helpful or friendly but we didn’t need them much. Breakfast was tasty but no options just the same thing each morning. Fine for a few days but by day 5 I was a bit bored! Breakfast staff at the sister “root” hotel were terrible smoking at the entrance to breakfast room, not providing clean cups etc. Rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. "Aly Port Hotel was a perfect location for walking to Grand Bazaar, Taksim square, Galataport and alleyways. Check in was easy and we had a large room on 4th floor. Facilities were clean, however the door to balcony in our room would not open. That was not a problem as we were out for majority of time and just used window for fresh air. Whilst the mosque and main road were nearby we were not too bothered by noise. Overall it was a pleasant stay"
