"My friend and I loved this property! Set amongst redwoods and lush greenery and along a river, our cabin was spacious and private. We had a bedroom, loft, futon couch, fireplace, full small kitchen, deck with chairs, picnic table and bbq grill. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. It was so soothing to sit on the deck and listen to the rushing water in the river, watching ducks fly by and stellar jays landing on the deck. Plus, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is right across the river! We can't wait to return and stay for more days!"

"The experience was pretty disappointing overall. While the place advertises a lot of amenities, several of them were not working during my stay, which made it feel misleading. The room itself was extremely small, honestly felt like the size of a jail cell, and it was not clean. There was a noticeable weird smell that never really went away, which made it hard to relax. Between the lack of functioning amenities, the cleanliness issues, and the uncomfortable room, it just was not a great stay."

"I have stayed here three times in the past year. I am a quasi local. Friendly, clean, safe, local, uncomplicated. Lobby has space to sit and read, cozy fireplace, big windows, for when you want to give your travel companion space. Fresh brewed coffee in the morning, restaurant on site for lunch and dinner and the locals use the restaurant. Pool is heated when open for season, call ahead to confirm. It's a bit old school, you park in front of your room, rooms are updated, super functional but not spacious unless you book a suite. The wifi is a bit weak, access email reliability, yes, stream movies you will probably get buffering. The rooms are fine for solo, duo or couples, or family with one child travellers. Ironically, it's a good location as there is a lot that is accessible by car within 5 minute drive. Please note, even though the maps show local roads, it is not walkable, there are no shoulders, local road is narrow, no shoulder, people speed, or are restricted access. Don't plan to get a morning walk or take the baby out in a stroller or think you will walk to town for the day. Yes there is a bus, but it's once an hour. You must have a car and a 5 minute drive will get you to parks and open space, 10 min to beach. Super easy to find. Can be pricey during beach season and weekends, all places in Santa Cruz are. I will stay here again."

"Very nice hotel, the outside was very peaceful and relaxing. We checked in late and lobby was quiet, hotel looked clean. Our room was nice, we did find a hair in the shower. Our main issue was we were told the gym was on the floor above us, so between 7am and 9am we could hear a lot of noise & banging. It kept us from sleeping in which is what we needed after our long drive! Very disappointed to have to deal with that, thankfully we only had to stay 1 night."

"The hot tub heater did work (felt like cold bath water) and we found three spiders during the two days we stayed there. Didn’t sleep well the second night. Parking was tight and breakfast was ok."

"Took a trip from So cal to Nor cal for a wedding. It would have way expensive to meet a cabin at the waterfall lodge to fit the amount for family that came up with me so the home was very convenient spacious and indeed peaceful I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to spend a few nights in this area"
