"The continental breakfast was very good, staff were friendly and encouraged us to pack a few snacks for the road, which doesnt happen often! The rooms were recently renovated, very clean and quiet. "

I love pipers lagoon. Such a peaceful place and not crowded at all. Friendly people around.

We love the area but homelessness is clearly a huge problem, making it feel somewhat unsafe in some areas.

The harbour city has many delights - including Gina's Mexican restaurant which was just right for a hot Summer's night!

We had a hard time finding parking near the waterfront. They had one large parking structure closed during summer which was poor timing. Good restaurants but has some areas that were questionable. Maps were not very helpful.

A lot of building. Nice development overall. Wish fashion options would keep up. Extremely picturesque.

We love Nanaimo but will come back when we can camp locally or find a similarly priced STR.

It had a great breakfast/brunch restaurant tucked away called the Breakfast Nook.

"We were looking for somewhere nice to stay on the island. When we found this location it was really new and nice so we took it right away. The pull out bed for myself was really comfortable and the sheets on both beds were nice and clean. Super conveniently close to the harbour and within the city centre. The only thing that I’d suggest is asking housekeepers to come by later. We were checking out at 11 but they showed up at 9:30. Besides that front desk staff were great and they really beefed up security in the parkade so we had no issues with safety or break ins. Overall 10/10 and we’re going to come back next time we stay on the island. Thanks! "
"Everything about the Quality Inn was great! Clean, modern…loved that there is no longer carpets and shower curtains!
The area was just ok, though the Inn property was well kept. The city of Nanaimo has a huge homeless problem and it does not make you feel safe walking around and exploring. "
"I don’t usually write reviews but this hotel deserved one. The hotel was super clean, comfy and easy to find. The owner/manager was very accommodating to our after hours check in and was such a pleasant person to deal with. I highly recommend this place and will be back."
