"Beautiful gardens. Restaurant was beautiful and took advantage of the lush gardens. Food was very good and reasonable. We faced the smaller pool and had it to ourselves (due to being there off season) but was an added bonus. We would recommend this hotel "

"Lovely room. One of my favorites of the stat. Woke to monkeys every morning!!! Their motto is "Still more.monkeys than people". Saw sloths on the grounds too and the adult pool has incredible ocean views. Very unique place. More animals.here than in the park!"

"Hotel is along the main street. While it isn’t flashy from the street view, once inside it feels like a magical jungle paradise and feels safe and secluded. There are plenty of walkable dining/shopping options. If you prefer to avoid driving from the resort to Manuel Antonio park, we were able to walk there in about 35min and avoid the hassle of driving/parking, which is a great perk! Hotel breakfast was included and had a variety of good options. We would definitely stay again!"

"Very nice stay. Beautiful jungle and pool right in backyard. Front desk very helpful and nice. Room had a view of jungle terrace. A separator between 2 beds. Small fridge and microwave. Popcorn and milk in room. Breakfast great and very kind staff. Had breakfast to go ready at 6:30am for us as requested so could leave for excursion early morning. Convenient location off main road. "

"We stayed at the Shana for a week over spring break. Everything about it was wonderful. The staff, the beach, the pool, the breakfast. we saw more wildlife on the hotel proper than we did in Manuel Antonio National Park. The monkeys were daily entertainment. There is a sloth that hangs out in a tree by the adult pool and a set of scarlet macaws that will fly in every day. I can’t recommend this hotel enough."

"The staff was amazing! Mariela, Moses, Amy and Kerly were so sweet and friendly. The property is incredible with so much wildlife. The howler monkeys were intense! I miss the sound of them. The monkey mafia (casiblanco) were entertaining. They’d roll through later in the day and put on a show. "

"Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great value for money and right next to Manuel Antonio park entrance. Close to the beach also. Room was clean and tidy. Facilities could use a few touch ups and the bed was a bit on the 'too firm' side for me but overall would recommend."
