"Our room was clean and very nice. The photos on Expedia doesn't do it justice. Plenty of amenities that includes 3 different complimentary drinks that get refilled daily, senbei snacks, and the usual toiletries and sleep wear. The onsite Onsen is simple, but clean and was never crowded. Close to all the shops, temples, many local restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops. Great place to stay to get away from the noisy touristy areas, but close enough to go everywhere by foot."

"This was the best hotel stay in my whole life! To start the property I believe is a refurbished historic ryokan so it definitely has the charm of a traditional stay while being luxury appointed ! I cannot speak better about staff here they were so helpful they went out of there way to make sure we had everything , greet us, open doors, offer us umbrellas on rainy days! We did also pay for breakfast and that was truly such a cool experience, taxi was waiting for us in the morning to bring us to...

"Stylish and spacious for family of 6. Very thoughtful touches and amenities in room and layout was very comfy with couch and coffee table. Location was in Gion district which was lively and convenient to stores and restaurants(including Family Mart and Mcdonald's). Free drinks in lobby was a big plus. Only tiny downside is our room was facing a bar which was a little noisy on the weekend but we were able to sleep fine. Staff was very accommodating and professional. Would stay here again"

"Great location. Very reasonably priced. Room was small, but we were used to the Japanese standard. I believe there are larger rooms for higher prices. A ‘double’ bed is essentially a queen, so plenty of room. Fridge, 2 free waters daily, pick your own toothbrush, lotions, tea,etc. we stayed 3 nights but wish we had stayed longer!"
