"We had a wonderful stay at Villa Sasoon at the beginning of August. The staff are simply delightful - they can't do enough for you (without being imposing), and are just super friendly and lovely. They are always smiling! The Villa itself is just like the pictures - spacious, clean, and open. The outdoor area is spectacular - the sun loungers are very comfortable, it's nice to have the outdoor table to eat at, and the pool is the perfect temperature. The in-house breakfast was delicious each day...

"We truly enjoyed our stay at The Griya Villas. Location was superb for diving with many dive shops and dive sites just around the corner. Hotel staff did a wonderful job in accommodating all our wishes. They also went above and beyond to get our lost luggage from the airport. "This is a unique place - right inside the water palace - but it is in need of some improvements. Our room (pool villa) smelled a little moldy and things seemed a bit dated. View from pool, bar and room is beautiful, you can just sit and pass the day enjoying the view. "A true world-class luxury hotel, where staff remembers your name and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. As a local taxi driver put it, “they treat you like kings (and queens) in there.” We enjoyed our pool suite villa, and took advantage of the two excellent restaurants in the hotel, with Apertif one of the best in Ubud. Tip: don’t skip the welcome drinks at the Apertif bar, easily one of the best with old-world decor oozing speakeasy vibes. Daily free hotel activities for guests, golf carts taking you from your room to anywhere on hotel property, and stunning views morning and night make staying here a 10/10 vacation experience. "
