"The proprietors are very friendly and obliging and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotless and very well equipped with a large shower (room Agatha). It's in an excellent location both for the beach, town centre and harbour. There is also a nice garden with nice new garden furniture. We like it so much that we have been going for the last 5 years."

The breakfast choices were excellent and cooked to perfection. The hotel is situated 10 mins from the beach, harbour, bus station, railway station (steam engines too) very convenient. We managed to visit Brixham and Torquay on the ‘every 10 min’ bus service. "

"We had a wonderful experience at this property. The location is perfect. We traveled via train and the station is literally right across the street. As for the hotel it has wonderful ocean views. It is the perfect starting point for a walk along the waterfront. I am a huge Agatha Christie fan so this was the perfect place to stay and start our experience. The hotel is very grand - like the name - but also very inviting and comfortable. All of the staff were wonderful. Highly recommend!"
