"Breakfast was wonderful, so was afternoon tea. My only complaint and in this day and age its very important. The wifi in my room was non existent! Worked fine in the main lounge/restaurant area. Coming from another country it was the only way i had to communicate with family members "

Highly recommend the Amber House-great location, plenty of parking, friendly and professional owners, comfy bed, and a full English and continental breakfast. What more could you want? A short walk to Goodrington Beach with the colorful beach huts and coffee shop. Will definitely stay again next time I am in Paignton. "

"We had two rooms and both were very Dirty room. No hot or warm water shower working. On asking staff they ignored me. "

"The hotel was dated and looked tired from the outside and inside. The images online were very misleading and didn't look like the room that was promised. The room itself was very small but the bedsheets and towels were clean. The bathroom was in desperate need of being regrouted and cracked tiles needed to the replaced. The net curtains were dirty with cigarette holes in the them and there was a layer of dust on the valance. Even though the 'quite' times were meant to start at 10pm, we could still the music from the bar area long after this and we were on the 3rd floor. I've stayed in cheaper hotels that were a better standard than this...."
