"The staff were friendly and the hotel is well kept. It is situated on a hill and offers a quiet place to relax after a busy day. It is close to the Kennet and Avon canal, Sydney Gardens and it’s a pleasant walk into city along Great Pulteney Street and over Pulteney Bridge. Unlike most city centre hotels it does have a car park. "

"We had a twin standard room so wasn't expecting too much, but we had a lovely view into town with the sea in the distance. The bath over the shower was adequate, the toiletries were plentiful and the room was small but perfectly acceptable. The food was great, plenty to choose from at breakfast and dinner was great value at around £33. The spa was amazing! Already looking at when we can return. Thank you. "

"A nice hotel, but I was disappointed with my last day. I stayed for 5 nights and asked for a late checkout on the final day, only to be told checkout latest was 11am and every hour after would be a charge of £30. This seems a little extortionate and as a frequent traveller and user of this hotel many time before, a little user unfriendly. I understand they have to clean the rooms and make ready for other people, but surely there is a more customer friendly way of dealing with this. "

"First rate hotel with a unique experience in being able to enjoy the “waters” of Bath within the hotel. Very conveniently located. The air conditioning in the room did not sufficiently cool the room on the 22C days we were there, but the windows opened, which helped."

"Staff were all friendly, polite and extremely helpful. The ocean view from our room was a real wow factor. The weather was good so we ate in the Terrac bar, the menu choices were limted but the food delicious, breakfast was superb."

"Excellent location, just around the corner from the Liberty Bus station, so taking tours and getting around was easy. All the staff were polite and efficient, even if they didn't always understand what was being said the first time. The only downside was that the room we had was under the eves of the building, so that one side of the bed was difficult to get into/Out of! Apart from that, thoroughly recommended."

"Hotel is great, but I wouldn't say 5 star, i had asked to check in a little early, half hour woukd have been fine so very disappointed to fibd thus wasn't possible when we arrived. If they had said i would have rearranged our other plans to suit them "
