"This place was 10/10 for us! My family and I were excited about this vacation and to be honest, this place exceeded our expectations. It was affordable, and all of the staff were very nice people! I'd definitely recommend going. We will definitely be back!"
"It was very gorgeous, quiet, and the staff was very nice. However, despite the staff not seeming busy (I was the only visitor there for my whole stay), the pool was always dirty. The hotel was also difficult to access for farther day trips - after one, I ended up having to walk for 10 minutes in the dark on the highway alone (as the staffs advice didn't pan out). When I reached out for help from the concierge, they had already gone home for the day at 8pm ):"
"Lindo sitio para disfrutar estar ahí y los alrededores. La habitación es cómoda y con café, sillones adecuados para disfrutarlo hacia la ventana. La sala común es muy acogedora y tranquila, la alberca suficiente para relajarse un rato. Solo la encargada se olvidó de decimos cómo salir antes de que llegara, entre los huéspedes encontramos cómo. "
"Perfect --we walked to the Coba ruins early in the morning along the back road by the lake enjoying the magic. Perfect for two nights. Restful and special. "
"This was a perfect place to stay. Great restaurants, cenote, spa, grocery store within walking distance. Clean and spacious. Nice halfway point between Tulum and Playa Del Carmen"
"I absolutely loved staying at this hotel it had such a peaceful, relaxing very boho decor
It was calm, laid-back, and the perfect place to unwind. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a chill, unique spot to relax!"
"I need to comeback, the people taking care of the place we so sweet and helpful! And the place is a dream, literally looks like something someone dreamed of and made it come true, I wish I stayed longer."

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed everything, but I want to make a remark on the show that performs Monday-Friday, specially one dancer: Lizeth Chavez. Excellent dancer and great lady. "
"Excellent experience for the family overall. Great food and entertainment. My kids enjoyed. The pool could have been opened longer. Kids pool closed at 6pm and main pool at 7pm. "
"Definitely coming back, everything was great, especially the service. Food was good and amenities are great. Lots of pools and they have 2 small water parks for kids which was awesome since I traveled with kids. Right outside the resort they had an OXXO which was very convenient and cheap for everything. Good shows and entertainment was pretty good. "
Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya - Adults Only - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Secrets Akumal staff go way above and beyond to meet your every need. I’ve never felt so cared for and taken care of in my life! The hospitality they provide go beyond any expectation. I was never hungry! My concierge checked in with me regularly. She even would give me a menu of what was going on on the property daily. Just outstanding service. If you got lost, a staff member, any staff member, would walk you to your destination. It was a gorgeous resort. Swim up bar and swim up pool to our room was amazing! Food was top tier! Can’t wait to stay again! "
Akumal Bay Beach & Wellness Resort - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"We absolutely love ABR! Our family has been visiting this resort for the past 15 years, and it continues to be a special place for us. Each year, we notice thoughtful updates and improvements, all while maintaining the natural beauty of the grounds, which blend seamlessly with the surroundings. Everything is always impeccably clean, and the staff is consistently kind, polite, and attentive.
We especially enjoy the 8 AM yoga sessions, daily beach volleyball, and the wide variety of delicious food and drinks. While the evening entertainment could use some improvement—most nights the bands don't quite energize the crowd—there’s always a great atmosphere in the main palapa after dinner. Sundays are a highlight, with a fantastic Salsa/Cumbia band that gets everyone on the dance floor!
During our recent stay, the sargassum issue affected the beaches, which was unfortunate but beyond anyone’s control. Akumal Bay is typically home to some of the most stunning beaches and snorkeling we’ve ever experienced.
Overall, we love this resort for its welcoming, international vibe and outstanding customer service. We look forward to returning again!"
