"This is the second time I've visited La Cusinga and made great effort to get here again. It is a special place, not for the faint of heart. I spent a week alone at Cusinga, nestled in the rain forest. I had a magical week. La Cusinga is a special place but may not be for everyone, especially those looking for a luxury hotel. We are guests in nature!"

"The Hotel Ballena Ray is a gem. While the overall vibe is laid back, the rooms are perfect for a long stay with kitchenette and other basic amenities. The breakfast is especially wonderful as is the staff. And the pool, though small, is wonderful and has a bar open in the late afternoon and evening. You can swim until 9PM, which is a nice bonus after a long day exploring the surrounding areas of Uvita, Ballena Marine National Park (5 minute walk from the property) and the surrounding areas. Highly recommended."

"Fantastic stay, about 20-30 min walk to the beach national park and 15 mins to large supermarket, restaurants ect. The pools and outdoor kitchens are fantastic. There was so much room for everyone to use the facilities. Friendly staff too!"
