"The room was barely passable as a space to sleep in, but for the price I was shocked that the bedding was polyester, the air conditioner was ancient, loud and leaking, and the “black out” curtains didn’t really block the light all that well. The morning we checked out it took over 35 minutes to get an elevator that wasn’t full to the brim of other travellers trying to get down to the lobby. We had to wait so long and then ride up to the 30th floor and stop at nearly every floor on the way down...

It didn't bother me, but I imagine some people would have preferred a heads up. Sadly, the pool was also permanently shut down, though it is still advertised on Expedia as having one. That was a bit of a bummer. The room was clean, and amenities were good. All else was good. I had to re-book to add two nights, though, and that took my costs up from ~$700 to almost...

"Several reasons why this hotel is a good place to stay: the window in the room opened several inches to let in fresh air, the air conditioner/heating unit actually worked the way it should, the TV had multiple channels and the channel guide actually worked, comfortable beds, firmer than normal hotel pillows. Small things that a lot of hotels don't have that make your stay much more enjoyable."

"Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean, not fancy, but I was there to get a good night's sleep, which I did. Loved the shuttle service to and from YVR. Driver knew I was going downtown on the train and dropped me off at a station closer to town rather than drive me all the way back to the airport. Vancouver hotel prices are scary. This was the cheapest of an expensive lot that I saw in close proximity to YVR."

"Very disappointed with our stay. The elevators were not working and we had to carry all our luggage up to the lobby. The jacuzzi was also not working during our stay. Customer service was terrible and on top of everything they still charged extra for parking. The shower water pressure was extremely weak. A 5 minute shower ended up taking almost 20 minutes just to wash off the soap. Overall, very frustrating experience and definitely not worth the money."

"This hotel is wonderful! The staff are just amazing, from the front desk to the restaurant staff! Melvin in the restaurant is wonderful and is really good at what he does. Juan was extremely helpful, as well as everyone I encountered at the front desk. Overall, it was a great visit. I would stay here again if/when I come back to Vancouver."
