"It was a nice hotel, could have used more hot water had to take cold showers half of the week. I also got a few drops of blood on a towel (pimple broke after showering and I didn’t noticed) and was charged 100 pesos for it. Also if you want a blanket you need to ask for one. We thought they only gave sheets and only found out the day before leaving we could ask for blankets, we did ask but seems the cleaning lady forget and therefore never got any. "This was a lovely hotel, walking distance to most areas. Food, shopping, ferry, and tours. Everyone was great, it was quiet, clean, safe and most of all great beach access!!! Looking forward to my next holiday here.."

"This property is right on 5th avenue. Entrance is on 2nd st North, pretty close to 5th Avenue. Balcony faces 5th avenue and is pretty loud late into the night. If sound bothers you, you should reconsider. wifi is pretty good speed. Room is small but comfortable for 2. AC worked well, staff is friendly. Easy to get in and get out. Nothing fancy about this place but budget friendly and all the dining options available to you on 5th Ave. "

"My husband and I just spent 3 nights at Playa Maya. We got to the hotel a little late, but was greeted by Marvin (I believe he's night time security) who helped us to our room. The hotel doesn't have a street entrance so you must walk through the beach, which was fine, we're at the beach anyway! They provide fresh water for the rooms and ours was cleaned nicely everyday. We have nothing but good things to say about this property. Our favorite person was Marvin. He carried great conversations...

"The hotel is in a convenient location close to everything - 10 minute walk to the beach and 5th avenue. It needs some TLC but in general it is ok. We liked the pool being inside as the water is always refreshing. They need to fix the water pressure and the faucets are loose. They also need to add more dishes and pots and pans. Otherwise the stay was pleasant, the check in and check out seamless and the staff is polite and accommodating."
