"Good location"

"The staff was friendly and polite. Our double room was small and clean. However, the bed (room 29) was the most uncomfortable we've ever slept in. It was very soft and we could feel the springs sticking into us. We ended trying to sleep on top of the duvet. We would have asked to be moved but had travelled all day to get to Newquay and were exhausted. When reporting this to Reception the next morning we were told that all the mattresses were new!"

"Hotel ideally positioned for beach, walking & exploring Falmouth. Hotel looks a bit tired, room carpet stained, paintwork chipped & outside area’s overgrown. But despite it’s quirkiness the hotel had a nice relaxed atmosphere. Room very clean but housekeeping only made bed (which I could easily have done myself) & night wear just dumped on bedside table. "An all round excellent stay. Warm and helpful staff, ample parking, well designed and inviting rooms, fantastic food in the cafe and restaurant. Can’t recommend highly enough. We’ll definitely be back"

"The amenities included a fridge, microwave and kettle. However, it would be best to grab your own bathroom amenities as there was only a handwash and what I believe to be a all-in-one bodywash in the shower."

"Beautiful old world building with lovely rooms, bar the bathroom being upstairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good especially the breakfast. Very disappointed that they had a special curry and pint offer where you couldn't have and alternative drink and when we ordered the curry anyway we were charged £20 without the beer wheras it was £15 with the beer!"

"They was no air conditioner the room was to hot at night to sleep. Was seagulls outside wake up at 5,o’clock ,so we didn’t sleep much. Staff didn’t come in to empty bins and change the towels they should of this as weather was so hot ,swimming pool was lovely as it was cold as the weather was so hot ,staff was friendly. We had a lovely time in Newquay"
