"The staff worked very hard in every way. The hotel itself, probably due to age, needs attention re decor and sash windows which are draughty. I felt there were building restrictions making things difficult for updating. Dinner choices were excellent. "

"Elegant building, excellent central location, peaceful surroundings, nice views, comfortable bed. One kitchen cupboard was so high that we couldn't reach any small glasses or the cafetiere - had to make do without - even using the steps provided (and we are of average height). Cleaners brought stained towel at changeover day, and left long hairs on our bed when they changed the bedding. But in spite of this we enjoyed our stay."
