"The location of this hotel is great but is is vastly overpriced for what you get."

"Room was very clean, however one of our towels was dirty but staff replaced this immediately. Our room didn’t have a window which was unexpected as nowhere when booking did it say this might be the case, felt quite claustrophobic. Excellent location and lovely hotel overall."

We had a late breakfast at a busy time; reasonable choice. Metal serving spoons under the hot canopy were too hot to use; coffee was weak."

"A lovely clean room.....staff were very friendly and helpful...breakfast was fresh and good. Bar was busy with very friendly customers. We traveled down from Scarborough for football v Buxton...after the game the bar was very busy but the home supporters made us very welcom."

"Elegant building, excellent central location, peaceful surroundings, nice views, comfortable bed. One kitchen cupboard was so high that we couldn't reach any small glasses or the cafetiere - had to make do without - even using the steps provided (and we are of average height). Cleaners brought stained towel at changeover day, and left long hairs on our bed when they changed the bedding. But in spite of this we enjoyed our stay."
