"The food from pajama party was cold and wrong. Transportation inside the facility would just pass by and not go to lobby to pick us up, It got to a point were lady’s standing by had to complain about the situation. They also never gave us the pictures they promised for the family slime. Other than that staff, food, entertainment, park, rooms bar’s was a 5+ stars"

"Lush, manicured and thoughtfully laid out resort. Wonderful flora and fauna throughout the resort. Incredibly warm and friendly staff who seem to be working non-stop, so tip generously!! Prompt and professional service from check-in to check-out. Food is subpar, despite the variety of choices and attentive service,. Cafe Sisal is a highlight for serving hot and cold coffee-based drinks. Alcohololic drinks were well made. Room service is 24 hrs and arrives within 45 minutes. Beautiful rough beach with plenty of loungers along the beachfront as most folks tend to hang out in the pools. No need to reserve beach wearing and pay extra, there is always a seat to grab. The Beach staff were hard at work to clean up sargassum throughout the day. There's a party pool and quiet pool.. Overall a very chill resort with exceptional service and so so food. Best for older adults and couples or anyone looking for low-key tranquile all inclusive. If you are under 40 and looking for a livelier atmosphere, this isn't the place for you. "

"The bar service, housekeeping, and dining staff were phenomenal, and the property was kept very clean. The view from our balcony and the soaking tub were wonderful, and the beds were incredibly comfy. We also really enjoyed the poolside daybeds and easy access to the bar. However, we chose this hotel specifically to film content. We planned for rooftop sunset drinks in the jacuzzi, romantic mimosas in our balcony plunge pool, and shots on the beach swing. That would have been dope, right? WRONG. The jacuzzies were never filled, and despite asking directly, our private plunge pool was never filled either. The infinity pool had damaged tiles that crumbled when you sat or walked, and the social media swing was unavailable. Even the "beach access" required scaling mossy rocks to the property next door. The food was good, though "all-inclusive" is cruise-style: you sit and order each course, no buffet, no taking food to the room, and room service has a fee. But definitely try the fish taco! I would stay again if the amenities were updated—and maybe even if I had just known what I was actually getting. It’s a great vibe, but a major disappointment when you've planned your filming around features that don't exist."

"It was an absolute fantastic week at Secrets Maroma. We went to relax and destress by the beach, and we were able to do so in the dreamiest way. Our room had a perfect view of the beach and is the nicest room we’ve stayed at in an all-inclusive so far. The beach was cleaned consistently of the sargasso seaweed that builds up everywhere in cancun. I even made it to the spa for manicure/pedicure and massage and had lovely service there. I learned that there is a 90% employment retention rate for Secrets Maroma, higher than other resorts, and that probably explains the incredibly friendly and attentive staff there. We were absolutely pampered and spoiled by the staff. The few evening entertainment shows that we watched were really lovely and we really enjoyed the romantic, live instrumental music that was frequent at the resort. When I compare the price we paid for what we experienced, i absolutely would recommend this resort and go back again. "

"On the whole, the food was okay. However, the temperature of the food could improve and the fruits were bland. Pool area is lovely and what's not to like about a beautiful beach and the ocean. The wildlife is awesome and the flammingos strutting through the lobby are hilarious! Our room was clean and neat. The staff were all friendly."

"We stayed at Villa Picon for 9 nights. We were a three generation three family group of 10 people. Villa Picon was perfect for a large family group. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Everything worked. There is a family that lives in a separate house on the property and the family takes cares of the Villa and its guests, and does a great job. The Villa was totally cleaned every day, a first for me with a VRBO. We had the caretaker's wife shop for and cook us dinner four nights. The meals were delicious and it was a real treat not to have to shop, cook or clean up, and the cost was reasonable for what you got. The pool was lovely and the hot tub was kept hot. The one down side is something that the owners cannot control. Sargassum grass has become a very large and real problem in the Carribean area and we were not spared. Just be aware that any time after about March 1 you can encounter an outbreak of sargassum. But you always have the pool and the great activities in the area like Xcaret. I totally recommend Villa Picon for an extended family vacation."
