"The entire staff feom the valet, the bell hops, the front desk, the restaurant servers and bartenders, and the spa were absolutely on point and excellent at what they do!"

"We had a lovely stay at the Charles Pacific Grove property. The staff was very friendly and room was nicely decorated. The inn is very quaint with a nice sitting area to meet other guests. The breakfast was very tasty with fresh fruit, yogurt and pastries. We look forward to coming back soon!"

"Although this motel is advertised that its dog friendly there really isn’t any walking area for the dogs and I didn’t notice when booking but it’s right next to a cemetery and the streets are very narrow. There’s really not enough sidewalk to walk your dog around so we’re stuck in the room and had to just kind of walk him in the parking lot. Also, there are two locations of this lighthouse motel the dog friend is the one that doesn’t have the walking trail and it doesn’t have the fire pit that’s advertised in the picture so it was really confusing."

"The property was new and clean. We had issues with the outlets in our room, they stopped working mid-trip but maintenance was able to fix them. The only staff member I'll highlight was Joe the bar manager. He went above and beyond to make sure our experience at the bar/restaurant was perfect. His employees on the other hand were very rude. We were treated very poorly by some of the bar staff."

"The place was good and clean but they charged me for something they don’t even know what it’s about. I called and said i was not charged for anything extra but my credit card was charged extra for 2 rooms that I booked. They said it will be reimbursed after 10days but it’s been more than that and they don’t even know what those charges are for."

"We stayed here in April of 2026. Property was conveniently located central to Monterey attractions, like the beaches, aquarium, and local restaurants. The home was roomy with adequate accommodations for our stay. Our only constructive criticism would be the upstairs windows had detachable screens, which we felt a little unsafe for young children. Overall, we’d stay here again. "

"Beautiful home, breathtaking views. Conveniently located to walk to many area attractions and restaurants, beach and park across the street, lots of sea life to see along the coastline. Grove Market, walking distance, Safeway, short drive. Well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds and living space. We had some minor plumbing issues with the downstairs toilet and shower not working upon arrival, but Kyle quickly responded and had the issues fixed same day. Washing machine smelled moldy so we didn't use it. Overall it was the perfect house for our golfing vacation, would absolutely stay there again."
